For the "Trigger" location, pick a spot that most people will pass through on the way to the tee box. Usually the back set of tees on the cart path is a good spot. For instances where there is a fork in the road to go to the back tees or front tees, set the trigger point right at the fork in the road. For courses without many cart paths or when walkers take short cuts, we usually put the trigger point near the sign for the hole. Remember, the trigger point has nothing to do with yardage measurement, it only advances the unit to the correct hole.
To find the center of the green, stand at the back of the green facing the fairway with equal amounts of green to your left and right. Count paces to the front of the green. Pace back half as many. This is the center of the green.
If you find the unit displays the incorrect distance at the permanent markers, you may have to reprogram the center of the green location for that hole. If your unit does not advance to the correct hole at the proper location, you may have to reprogram the tee location for that hole.
The battery will be fully charged if the unit is turned off and plugged into the charger for at least two hours.
